Smoked Pork Tenderloin Perfection: Sweet, Savory, and Juicy Every Time
Tender, Juicy, and Full of Flavor – This Smoked Pork Tenderloin is BBQ Done Right!
This smoked pork tenderloin is packed with sweet and savory flavors, thanks to a mustard binder and a flavorful blend of Kinders "The Blend" seasoning and Suckle Busters Honey BBQ Rub. After dry brining in the fridge for several hours, it’s slow-smoked over cherry wood pellets on a Pit Boss pellet grill at 225°F for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
No flipping or spritzing is needed—just let it smoke until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (or pull it at 140°F and allow carryover cooking to finish the job). After a 10-minute rest, it’s sliced into tender, juicy medallions.
Perfect on its own or served as BBQ sliders with soft rolls and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce, this recipe delivers smoky, succulent perfection every time!
Recipe: Smoked Pork Tenderloin with Honey BBQ Rub
Ingredients:
1 pork tenderloin
2 tbsp yellow mustard (binder)
1 tbsp Kinders "The Blend" seasoning
1 tbsp Suckle Busters Honey BBQ Rub
Cherry wood pellets
Rolls and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions:
Prep the Tenderloin:
Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels.
Rub the entire tenderloin with yellow mustard to help the seasoning stick.
Generously season with Kinders "The Blend" and Suckle Busters Honey BBQ Rub.
Place in the fridge, uncovered, for several hours to allow for dry brining.
Preheat the Smoker:
Set your Pit Boss wood pellet grill to 225°F using cherry wood pellets for a mild, sweet smoke flavor.
Smoke the Pork:
Place the pork tenderloin directly on the grill grates.
No need to turn or spritz—just let it smoke for about 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. Remove at 145°F for perfect juiciness (or at 140°F if you prefer carryover cooking to 145°F).
Rest & Slice:
Let the pork tenderloin rest for 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
Slice crosswise into medallions.
Serve & Enjoy:
Serve as is or make mini sandwiches with rolls and Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ Sauce for an extra punch of flavor.
Pro Tip: For an extra smoky crust, apply an additional light dusting of rub halfway through the cook!
Enjoy your perfectly smoked, juicy pork tenderloin with just the right balance of sweet and savory BBQ goodness!
